Founded in 1981 in Rutland, Vermont by Richard Chapman, North Country Dairy Supply has excelled in providing quality dairy chemicals and services in New England. Emphasizing low overhead, localized service, and competitive pricing, the company was acquired by Surpass Chemical Company, Inc. in 2006 and moved its operations to Albany, NY. In 2011, Surpass, which began in 1914 and expanded from the textile industry to diverse chemical production, further strengthened its portfolio by acquiring Metz Sales, Inc., a firm with a background in dairy equipment and chemical compounding since 1946. 

Chapman’s pioneering vision was underpinned by three core principles: maintaining low overhead, offering localized service, and ensuring competitive pricing. These principles have been the cornerstone of our approach, guiding us in our commitment to the dairy industry. Today, North Country Dairy Supply stands as a testament to our enduring commitment to the dairy industry. We continue to honor the legacy of our founders by upholding a tradition of excellence, innovation, and dedication.
